What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 385 in Levelland, TX on October 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened as a pair of animal control officers were responding to a call. Their vehicle, a Ford F-150, was parked in a northbound part of the shoulder on US 385 when it was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 42-year-old Adrian Lozano, that veered from the road. The crash killed one of the officers, identified as Crystal Goforth. The other officer, identified as 41-year-old Jon Corder, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries that he later died from.
