What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 54 in El Paso, TX on April 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:17 a.m. Investigators say a Kia Forte operated by a 23-year-old El Paso man was headed southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway prior to colliding with a Chevrolet Traverse operated by 35-year-old Cynthia Garcia. Both Garcia and her 32-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. The El Paso man was seriously injured and reports indicate he was issued a charge for DWI.
