What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at TX 114 in Northlake, TX on August 5th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 12:45 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 52-year-old Dallas woman was headed southbound on Raceway Dr as it approached a stop sign intersection. After stopping a believing the roadway to be clear, the truck pulled forward and was beginning to cross the intersection as  Nissan Versa operated by 23-year-old Dania Lynn Urena approached. The Versa collided with the side of the truck, causing Urena minor injuries. The Dallas woman was not injured and was issued a Failure to Yield Right of Way at Stop Intersection citation.
