What Happened

Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Farm-to-Market Road 1396 in Fannin County, TX, on October 27, 2024, at approximately 1:05 p.m. A 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by a 37-year-old woman allegedly under the influence of alcohol veered out of its lane and collided head-on with a 2017 GMC Canyon. The GMC was occupied by Daniel Hartung, 63, the driver, and Toshiko Hartung, 63, a passenger. The driver of the Chevrolet Cobalt sustained fatal injuries.
