What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured multiple people at Composite Dr and Program Dr in Dallas, TX on September 25th, 2022. Officials believe it happened around 2:32 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Neon operated by 30-year-old Julio Alvarado Grande was headed northbound on Composite Dr while partially traveling on the wrong side of the roadway. As a result, the vehicle collided with two pedestrians crossing from the east side of the road onto the west side, both of whom were said to have not been in a crosswalk at the time. The vehicle also struck a Ford Fusion headed southbound on Composite. The pedestrians were identified as 32-year-old Daniel Lozano and 21-year-old Mariah Garcia, who both suffered serious injuries. Two occupants of the Ford were also injuries, having sustained less serious injured. Grande also suffered minor injuries and officers recommended and/or issued a Failure to Stop and Render Aid charge.
