What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at Sam Rayburn Tollway in Allen, TX on September 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:59 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Civic operated by 22-year-old Hunter Westbrook was headed northeast on the tollway when it failed to control its speed and collided with a motorcycle operated by 61-year-old Darrell Bryant. The collision caused Bryant to be ejected from the vehicle and strike the Civic, causing fatal injuries. Bryant was not injured and officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Manslaughter charge.
