What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information related to a crash that killed all parties involved at US 67 in Coleman County, TX on August 6th, 2021. Police are saying it happened around 2:30 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 60-year-old Loganville, GA man was headed eastbound on 67 when is said to have suffered a blowout to a front left tire. This caused the truck to veer across a center strip and collide with a Toyota 4Runner. The truck continued forward and overturned into a ditch before catching fire. The Toyota had also been pushed into a ditch and also caught fire. The driver of the truck died at the scene. Also killed at the scene were the occupants of the Toyota, identified as 70-year-old David MacDonald and 65-year-old Shirley MacDonald.
