What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a driver at US 281 in Burnet, TX on December 8th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:10 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 63-year-old male reportedly exited a gas station parking lot to head southbound onto Water Street into a center turn lane. An approaching Ford Escape, operated by 66-year-old Denise Currier Porter, collided with the truck. Porter suffered serious injuries in the collision. Investigators say a Failure to Yield Right of Way from Private Drive charge was issued against the truck driver.
