What Happened

Area authorities made an arrest in a collision that killed a man at  Robinson Dr and Madison Dr in Waco, TX on August 28th, 2021. Police say around 8:45 p.m., 57-year-old Dennis Roberts was traveling south in an electric wheelchair when a vehicle occupied by 41-year-old Orlon Simpson struck Roberts. The vehicle fled the scene and second vehicle also struck Roberts shortly after. Roberts was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Simpson was arrested on a charge of Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
