What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a driver at Allen Genoa Rd in Pasadena, TX on February 3rd, 2021. Police say it happened around 3:13 p.m. A Honda Accord operated by 21-year-old Johnny Torres was headed southbound when it veered from its lane int northbound lanes. It then collided with a Nissan Altima operated by 18-year-old Destani Celeste Oliver. The Altima was pushed from the road into a tree, causing Oliver to suffer fatal injuries. The Honda continued forward into a chain link fence before coming to a stop, causing Torres minor injuries. Police issued Torres a charge for Negligent Homicide.
