What Happened

San Antonio Police have identified the person killed in a crash at US Hwy 90 in San Antonio, TX on February 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. A pickup truck operated by 24-year-old Deven Perez was reportedly headed westbound on the highway when it veered into a shoulder and hit a guardrail. Investigators say the truck overcorrected onto the north shoulder and went airborne, rolling multiple times before landing in a grassy off-road area. Perez, who is alleged to not have been wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Police believe alcohol played a factor in the crash.
