What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a motorcyclist at US 83 in Webb County, TX on December 1st, 2021. They are saying the crash happened around 11 a.m. and involved a tractor-trailer and motorcycle. The tractor-trailer, operated by a 64-year-old Laredo man, was attempting to enter US 83 to a construction sit and failed yield during a right turn. A southbound motorcycle, operated by 54-year-old Domingo Valenzuela Jr, collided with the truck and the impact caused Valenzuela to be ejected from the bike. He is said to have been seriously injured in the collision. The Laredo man was reportedly uninjured and records indicate a charge was recommended and/or issued for Failure to Yield ROW Resulting in Accident Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
