Texas Department of Public Safety officials have identified the people killed in a collision at Hwy 69 near Warren, TX on December 16th, 2021. Police say the incident occurred just before 5 p.m. A Ford passenger vehicle occupied by 84-year-old Doyle Orval “Korn Bread” Cowart Sr and his 81-year-old wife, Kathy Anne Moore Cowart, was headed northbound when a southbound SUV reportedly crossed a center line. The SUV struck the Ford and both husband and wife suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the SUV was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
