New Waverly Police are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-45 in New Waverly, TX on July 13th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around around 1:30 p.m. A Honda Civic reportedly veered from the road before cutting across main lanes and going under an 18-wheeler. The Civic became lodged under the truck and was dragged along for several hundred yards before the truck came to a stop. The driver of the car was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
