What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a man at  State Hwy 49 in Marion County, TX on January 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3 a.m. A Ford Ranger operated by 30-year-old Dustin Coston had reportedly been headed eastbound on TX 49 when police allege the vehicle began traveling on the westbound side of the road for unknown reasons. It then collided with a westbound tractor-trailer and Coston suffered fatal injuries at the scene. A passenger in the truck, 37-year-old Ann Rahe, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
