Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1788 in Andrews County, TX on January 19th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:55 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer was turning westbound onto County Rd SE 8000 at the time. Reports allege that as this was occurring, a Honda Civic headed southbound on FM 1788 allegedly attempted to pass to the rifer before colliding with the turning truck. Reports say the driver of the Honda, identified as 23-year-old Dylan Salas, was seriously injured. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, was not injured.
