Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Trimmier Rd in Killeen, TX on December 1st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:10 p.m. According to investigators, a BMW X1 operated by 48-year-old Emily Santiago Figueroa was traveling south at a high rate of speed. For reasons that have not yet been confirmed, the vehicle is said to have left the roadway and traveled over a curb into a road island. There, police say the vehicle struck a concrete traffic signal pole and retaining wall. Figueroa was partially ejected from the vehicle in the crash, which left her fatally injured, reports say.
