What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at Shoreline Blvd in Corpus Christi, TX on June 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:58 p.m. According to investigators, a Mercury Mountaineer operated by 72-year-old Ricardo Hernandez is said to have been in a parking lot not designated for vehicles as it revved its engine and crashed into a pillar. It went into reverse before crashing into a see wall and traveled down an embankment. The crash left a passenger, identified as 72-year-old Enedelia Hernandez, suffered fatal injuries. Hernandez and a 21-year-old passenger were seriously injured. Officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge.
