What Happened

Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 1:05 a.m. on April 6, 2025, on State Highway 34 near Lakeview Circle in Kaufman County, Texas. According to investigators, a Hyundai Sonata traveling southwest was involved in a collision with a Dodge Ram 2500 traveling northeast. The Hyundai left the roadway and struck a fence. The 39-year-old driver of the Hyundai, identified as Erica Lopez, was fatally injured. Three occupants in the Dodge Ram were reportedly not seriously hurt. No additional information was available.
