What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at FM 1847 in Cameron County, TX on February 13th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:11 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle was northbound, traveling behind a Dodge Ram. Reports say the Dodge began decreasing its speed to turn onto Mesquite Bean Dr  before it was struck by the motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as 66-year-old Eugene Connor, was seriously injured in the crash and hospitalized for treatment. Reports indicate Connor later died from his injuries. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured. Additional information was not available.
