Authorities have information on a crash that killed one person involved at State Hwy 6 in Sugar Land, TX on December 4th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:19 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord operated by 27-year-old Fariha Hussain was northbound at Hwy 6. Headed southbound was a Nissan Pathfinder operated by 16-year-old driver. Reports indicate the Accord may have disregarded a red traffic signal before turning left into the path of the approaching Nissan. The collision was severe enough that Hussain was fatally injured. Two passengers, one age 28 and not identified, the other identified as 67-year-old Rahat Hussain, were seriously injured. A 3-year-old child in the same vehicle was evaluated for possible injuries, reports say, while the 16-year-old Nissan operator is said to have had minor injuries.
