What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials identified the person killed in a crash at  FM 2126 in Brown County, TX on May 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around or before 3:45 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Fusion was headed southbound before collided with a tractor-trailer under unclear circumstances. It has been alleged the Ford crossed a center line before colliding head-on with the truck. The driver of the Ford, identified as 79-year-old Francis Montagne, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.  The condition of the other driver was not stated. Additional information was not available.
