What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-20 in Reeves County, TX on June 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Denali was headed westbound on I-20 when it reportedly attempted to pass a tractor-trailer ahead. It then suffered a tire blow out, causing it to veer from the road before colliding with the trailer attached to the truck. The impact caused the SUV to go into a skid before it overturned into a nearby ditch. The driver of the SUV, identified as 29-year-old Fredarion Swafford, suffered serious injuries in the crash.
