Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 285 in Reeves County, TX on August 5th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:40 p.m. A Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 34-year-old Frederick Womack was headed northbound on US 285 when police say it veered from its lane across a center strip and crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer before catching fire and landing in a ditch. Womack suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Additional information was not available.
