El Paso County Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Gateway East Blvd in El Paso, TX on July 21st, 2023. Police say the incident happen around 4 a.m. Police believe an eastbound Nissan Altima rear-ended a Chevrolet pickup truck in a center lane. It has been suggested by officials speed and possible intoxication may have played a factor in the crash. 24-year-old Gabriel Magana, the alleged operator of the Nissan, was hospitalized with injuries he late died from. The driver of the pickup truck, who was not publicly identified, was hospitalized with suspected minor injuries. Additional information was not made available.
