Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at State Hwy 95 in Bell County, TX on January 12th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:28 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC K2500 was allegedly attempting to cross southbound across State Hwy 95 after exiting a bar parking lot. Reports allege the vehicle may have failed to yield to a southbound tractor-trailer and in the process, the two vehicles collided in a center turn lane. The impact is said to have pushed the GMC from the road into a nearby fence while the tractor-trailer overturned not its side. The driver of the GMC, identified as 41-year-old Gary Ward, suffered fatal injuries. A passenger, identified as 55-year-old Jacqueline Ward, was seriously injured while the tractor-trailer operator had injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature.
