What Happened

Officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at County Rd 3200 in Martin County, TX on October 9th, 2024.  Police say the incident happened around 11:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Buick Enclave was westbound on County Rd 3200 is alleged to have lost control while navigating a turn in the roadway. Officials ay the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a culvert in a private drive. Reports say this caused the vehicle to hit an oil tank, causing the vehicle to rotate and catch fire. The driver, identified as 27-year-old Gavin Popowitz, was fatally injured. Additional information was not available.
