What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at First St in Garland, TX on October 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:33 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 23-year-old Jonathan Juarez was headed southbound on North First St when it allegedly disregarded a traffic signal at the intersection with Walnut. The vehicle collided with the side of a Ford F-150 operated by 31-year-old George Ghobrial before attempting to flee the scene. Ghobrial and a passenger, 40-year-old Bradley Irwin were both seriously injured while Juarez was not. Officers recommended and/or issued charges that include Aggravated Assault, two counts of Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle and Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
