Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 214 in Gaines County, TX on June 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 12:51 a.m. A Chevrolet Cavalier operated by 43-year-old Gravella Garza reportedly veered from the road into a median. It then went into a side skid as the vehicle attempted to correct back onto the road. The vehicle ended up in an open field where it overturned, causing Garza serious injuries. Police allege that Garza had been drinking and issued a Failure to Drive in Single Lane charge.
