What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at County Rd 4061 in Kaufman County, TX on May 6th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8 p.m. A Yamaha motorcycle operated by a 44-year-old Kaufman man was reportedly traveling at an unsafe speed on a dirt road when it veered from the road. It then veered into a barrow ditch before crashing into a tree line, seriously injuring the driver and a passenger, 26-year-old Harley Marie Foster. Police say that witnesses told them both the driver and Foster had been drinking prior to the crash.
