Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a woman at State Hwy 191 in Odessa, TX on July 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:07 p.m. According to investigators, a Mercedes operated by 42-year-old Hortensia Almaras was headed eastbound when it was struck in the rear of a Chevrolet Avalanche. The impact pushed both vehicles from the road into a barrier wall. Almaras suffered fatal injuries from the crash. A passenger, 90-year-old Louise Munoz, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
