Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 31 in Gregg County, TX on April 17th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:19 a.m. Investigators are saying a Dodge Ram operated by an 18-year-old Longview teen was headed eastbound on Hwy 31 when it failed to control it speed and collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Impala operated by 33-year-old Ilesha Johnson before colliding with several other vehicles. A 28-year-old passenger in Johnson's vehicle suffered minor injuries while Johnson was more seriously injured. The teen was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Control Speed, No Driver's License and Ride Not Secured By Safety Belt.
