Area authorities have arrested a person in connection with a crash at Wewoka Dr in Socorro, TX on November 4th, 2023. Officials say the incident involved an UTV operated by 23-year-old Maria Isabel Lopez Martinez. Reports indicate rate vehicle lost control at a curve in the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn. In the process,  24-year-old passenger, Irene Stephanie Acevedo, was ejected from the vehicle. Acevedo was taken to an area hospital where she later died of her injuries. Martinez's condition was not stated. Reports allege Martinez was charged with Intoxication Manslaughter in connection with the incident. Additional information was not available.
