What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at I-20 and Winscott Rd in Benbrook, TX on June 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:55 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 52-year-old Fort Worth man reportedly failed to control its speed and collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 27-year-old Jacob Gilbert Porter. The impact pushed the Tahoe into a Chevrolet van in front of it operated by a 32-year-old Granbury man. Porter suffered minor injuries while the Granbury man was evaluated for possible injuries. The Fort Worth man's passenger was also injured while he was uninjured. Police issued a Failure to Control Speed citation.
