What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that injured two people at I-20 in Van Zandt County, TX on December 28th, 2021. Officials say the incident happened around 3:05 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 51-year-old Dallas man was headed westbound on I-20 when it collided with the rear of a vehicle stopped for traffic ahead. This created a chain reaction collision involving several other vehicles. 44-year-old Jada Renae Fisher and 19-year-old Sarah Paige Fisher both suffered serious injuries. Also injured was an 18-year-old female passenger. Police say 48-year-old Roosevelt Jones III was evaluated for possible injuries and a 49-year-old woman in another vehicle also suffered minor injuries. The Dallas man was not injured. Records indicate he was charged with Failure to Control Speed and Improper Driver License for Type of Vehicle.
