Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian at State Hwy 7 in Nacogdoches, TX on August 28th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:20 p.m. A Chevrolet pickup truck operated by 33-year-old Salvador Aguinaga was headed westbound on Hwy 7 when it collided with a pedestrian crossing from the center of the road into a westbound lane. The pedestrian, identified as 22-year-old James Davis, was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead from his injuries. Additional information was not available.
