What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have identified the man killed in a wrong-way collision at I-20 in Lindale, TX on January 1st, 2022. Police say a vehicle operated by 36-year-old James Franklin Morgan was allegedly traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-20 before it collided head-on with a tractor-trailer. Morgan suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Further information was not available.
