What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured multiple people at US 69 in Bells, TX on July 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11:30 a.m. A Ford F-350 operated by 62-year-old James Martin McDonald swerved to avoid a motorcycle in a southbound lane before colliding with a tractor-trailer, causing the truck to catch fire. McDonald and his two passengers were seriously injured. The other driver was not injured.
