Police say the incident happened around 12:20 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep operated by 21-year-old Andrew Mitchell was eastbound at American Rd, heading the US 385 intersection. Reports allege the vehicle failed to stop and collided with a northbound pickup truck, operated by 50-year-old James Michael Dewbre. Officials say Dewbre suffered fatal injuries at the scene while both Mitchell and 25-year-old passenger, Joseph McBrannon, were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
