Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1580 in Freestone County, TX on June 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by 40-year-old James Rodgers Jr was headed southbound FM 1580 before it veered from the road. The vehicle went into a skid and overturned, ejecting Rodgers from the vehicle, and crashing into a tree. Rodgers suffered serious injuries in the incident. Reports indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge and Failure to Drive in Single Lane charge were both recommended and/or issued.
