Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at Loop 540 in Fort Bend, TX on October 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:51 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 48-year-old Felix Tejada was headed northbound on FM 360 before stopping at the stop intersection with Loop 540. Police say the truck turned onto Loop 540, the driver allegedly believing there was enough time to complete the turn before oncoming traffic approached, before it was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle, a Ford Escape, was operated by 36-year-old Jason Torres and headed westbound on Loop 540 at the time of the collision. The crash caused Torres fatal injuries while Tejada was uninjured.
