What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at Trail Lake Dr in Fort Worth, TX on August 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by Benjamin Zimmerer was headed southwest when it collided with a parked, unoccupied Chevrolet Silverado facing southwest on Trail Lake Dr. The driver of the Silverado was at the edge of the bed of the truck at the time and the collision ejected the driver, identified as Javier Monzon Villafranco, onto the road. The Dodge left the scene without stopping to render aid and Villafranco was seriously injured. Police recommended and/or issued an Accident Involving Injury charge.
