What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at North St and California St in Nacogdoches, TX on June 27th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:10 a.m. A Chevrolet Malibu operated by 33-year-old Emmanuel Leyva reportedly veered from its southbound lane into a northbound lane, where it collided with two other vehicles. One person, 20-year-old Jenna Lagrone, was seriously injured. The driver of that vehicle, 23-year-old Elizabeth Carranza, was evaluated for possible injuries. Leyva was not injured and was charged with charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
