What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured several people at FM 1960 in Harris County, TX on October 13th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:05 p.m. Police say a Chevrolet Express van headed westbound failed to control its speed before entering its a left turn once lane. The vehicle its said to have collided with the rear of a Kia Spectra before fleeing westbound. From there, police say the vehicle made contact with several other vehicles, including a Toyota Corolla operated by 68-year-old Debra Bridgewater and Honda HR-V operated by 30-year-old Jennifer Kite. The vehicle also collided with a Ford Fiesta operated by 51-year-old Michelle Harmon. Officials say Bridgewater and Kite were seriously injured while Harmon had less serious injuries. The van operator, a 60-year-old Splendora man who was not publicly identified, had minor injuries, reports say. Sources indicate a DWI charge was recommended and/or issued against the Splendora man.
