Officials in Temple, TX, are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on November 30, 2024, at sometime around 1:02 a.m. on US Highway 190. Invetigoatrs allege Honda CR-V was traveling west at an unsafe speed when it failed to maintain a single lane and struck the end of a bridge rail, causing the vehicle to catch fire. The 21-year-old driver, Jesse Gonzales Jr and a 19-year-old passenger Nathan Kiser were both killed. Alcohol and drug intoxication, speeding, and lane departure were identified as contributing factors. Additional information was not available.
