What Happened

Authorities have inforamtion on a crash that killed multiple people at FM 1382 in Grand Prairie, TX on August 10th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:15 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Charger was allegedly engaged in a street race, traveling at a high rate of speed. Police say the vehicle performed a lane change and collided with a Chevrolet Traverse headed northbound on Beltline Rd that was turning left onto Kingston. Officials say the impact caused the Chevrolet to overturned and catch fire, trapping its occupants in the vehicle. Four of its passengers, including 47-year-old Jessie Rosales and 35-year-old passenger, Lorena Rosales, were fatally injured. A 16-year-old passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries, reports say, as was the Dodge operator. That driver, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly charged with Racing Involving Death, Aggravated Assault Deadly Weapon and Manslaughter. Additional information was not available.
