What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Ranch Rd 652 in Loving County, TX on February 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11 p.m. According to initial investigation, a heavy duty truck operated by 53-year-old Jesus Arturo Ruiz was headed westbound on Ranch Rd 652 when it reportedly crossed into eastbound lanes for unknown reasons and side-swiped a truck operated by 24-year-old Jesus Moyers-Torres. The impact caused the truck to overturn, causing Ruiz fatal injuries at the scene. Moyer-Torres was hospitalized in stable condition.
