Police say the incident happened around 1:03 p.m. According to investigators, a Mazda 3 operated by 41-year-old Jesus Garcia operated by 41-year-old Jesus Garcia was headed southbound on US 59 before veering toward a tractor-trailer in a left lane. The vehicle became lodged under the truck and was dragged along by the truck before coming to a stop. The crash left Garcia with serious injuries.
