What Happened

El Paso Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-10 and Piedras in El Paso, TX on November 8th, 2022. Investigators say the crash involved five vehicles and began when a Chevrolet Camaro operated by 36-year-old Jesus Nava collided with the rear of a Dodge Durango operated by 42-year-old Veronica Dashner. The Camaro reportedly became disabled in the crash and as Nava exited the vehicle to push it from the road, it was struck by a a westbound Nissan Altima operated by 22-year-old Jonathan Zamora. Nava was pinned under the Nissan when it was struck by a Dodge Ram operated by 32-year-old Christopher Ramirez. The collision caused Nava fatal injuries at the scene. Zamora was hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not available.
