Officials in Cherokee County, TX, are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on February 19, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m. on U.S. Highway 69 at Farm to Market Road 177. According to investigators, a  Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling northeast collided with a Nissan Kicks that was parked in the traffic lane.

Authorities report that the 47-year-old driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Jill Andrews, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 74-year-old driver of the Nissan was reportedly uninjured. Contributing factors included the Nissan being stopped in the traffic lane and faulty evasive action.
